1 month ago - 1,968 notesI’ve been dying to talk about this for a while, some of this may sound hypocritical because what my blog has evolved to but just a year back I had less than 20 followers.
Lately I feeling like I dont even want to blog anymore, Its so … Mainstream now. Nobody knew about tumblr and it was like my little secret website where I would get on express myself without being judged and all that. Now I cant even do that anymore because I say one thing and then theres people are on my back like hawks. Now there are blog labels such as fashion blog or hipster blog. To be honest, besides themed blogs, everyone should have a blog that represents them, and it should stay how they used to blog from the begging. You know, where we blogged stuff that made us literally laugh our asses off. Posts and videos of life-changing and inspiring things. When we told people we liked their blogs without reasons such as gaining a follower or two. We actually followed everyone back, and were so sweet to each other, and not condescending by saying, “sorry, I only follow blogs I like.”. I know I sound like a hypocrite because from what tumblr has become people are running blogs that are just horrible from hate blogs, to blogs that are just about one topic and not diverse enough tumblr is to expand your horizon not shorten it. Nobody had unfollower checker because that never mattered when I myself first started blogging. When most of us first joined tumblr, we didn’t even realize people followed our blogs because we found it on our own, not somebody saying “Come on join tumblr its so much fun” it was just fun to read posts and reblog everything that made us laugh, cry, remember. Or maybe share that one silly or cute post with that significant other. Nobody ever had faqs because any question made us smile. Promo for promos were a simple favor, or something that showed appreciation, and a little symbol of kindness, not some annoying question. I seriously would love for tumblr to go back to this. Even though we enjoy blogs in style with awesome graphic and web-design, the old tumblr had us hooked more than ever. I appreciate all blogs, but the original blogs are so awesome. I’m not even going to go into depth about the hate that a lot of people have been getting, or all the beef that has started up. This tumblr famous term has been driving me nuts, its a stupid term that should be banned from existence. Everyone needs a personal blog, because that is where you can truly express yourself without being judge. Now people think that dressing just like each other is a fashion sense, people are meeting up to get followers, and not to have a good time. Everything is just going down the drain to become “famous”. Now go ahead and bash me on this.
